The Yinxu Site
Yin Xu is located across both banks of the
Huan he River in the northern suburbs of An yang City, a
Chinese city known for its history and culture, which is
the site of the capital of the late Shang Period (14th-11th
century BC). It is also the site of the earliest capital
city on Chinese history recorded in early historical sources
the existence of which has bean confirmed by oracle bone
inscriptions and through archaeological excavations.
