Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties

Located at Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning, Anhui, Jiangsu and Hubei, and built in accordance with strict regulations and highest funerary rites in Chinese feudal society, the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are original building complexes planned on a grand scale both above and below the ground. Having met the criteria Nos.1,2,3,4,6 for inclusion of cultural properties on the World Heritage List, the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties including the Ming Xian Tomb, the Eastern Qing Tombs and the Western Qing Tombs were inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2000.

Located in Changping Couty,Beijing City, Ming Tombs applied to UNESCO in 2003 for inclusion on the World Heritage Lise in addition to Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Situated in Nanjing City,jaingsu Province,the Xiaoling Tomb of the Ming Dynasty applied to UNESCO in 2003 for inclusion on the World Heritage Lise in addition to Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
